Why make your own Glow in The Dark Paint

Monday, November 28th, 2011

This is a good question especially since we have pre-mixed, ready to use off the can, glow in the dark paint. There are a number of reasons why you would prefer to make your own glow paint and here are the main ones:

a) We carry a general purpose solvent based paint which is suitable for most applications, but in some cases, it would be better to use a more suitable medium.
b) Solvent / Oil based products fall under the “Dangerous Goods” classification. As a result, shipping charges for these items can sometimes cost more than the cost of the product itself. It would be more cost effective getting the glow powder from us and getting the mixture from a paint supplier near you.
